Melo-Drama

The NBA is about to be shaken significantly.

For those who aren’t avid basketball fans, let me bring you up to speed. Carmelo Anthony is a superstar player, a big-time scorer and overall effective player; he currently is affiliated with the New York Knicks. The Knicks are not a good team, and that is an understatement. However, Melo is great, therefore many teams in the league are begging for him to join. And why not? This guy can easily produce 25-35 points per night, rebounds like a monster( 8-10 a game ), can set up his teammates somewhat effectively( 3-5 assists ), hustles and puts in loads of energy, and is a clutch closer who can handle the pressure at the end of a game.

Right now, Melo is on a road trip. But not just any road trip, this journey will ultimately decide which city, which team he will settle with and join. Almost all 30 NBA teams would like to have him, but only the groups with cap space can afford to have Anthony on their squad. A few of these are: the Los Angeles Lakers, the Houston Rockets, the Chicago Bulls, and the Phoenix Suns.

These are all promising offers, but the biggest, baddest opportunity will definitely be one of the first on Melo’s mind. Lebron James opted out of his contract a few days ago, meaning that he is now a free agent, and he can join any team which can afford him. Just the thought of Melo and James teaming up is breath-taking, and it seems very possible.

“Well I know he wants to win and I know he can win,” James said. “This is what we’re here for. We’re in this league to win. You dream about winning a championship and you just try and figure out how to do it. ”

Whatever Carmelo decides to do, it will surely be a momentous decision that no doubt will turn the tables on championship possibility for all of the teams in the league. Personally, I believe Melo will thrive the most with the Chicago Bulls, but that’s just my opinion (and a few million others).

Where do you think he will end up?
